I can't remember....

I had this big post all thought up in my mind and now when I actually go to type it....blank. I've got nothing. WTH??

This is going to be a quick week since I have a lot of NDQHA (horse stuff) items to get caught up on for the meeting and banquet this coming weekend. We're also trying to score tickets to the Vikings/Cowboys game on Sunday since I don't teach/have school next Monday (MLK Day). We'll see how well that works out.

Miss M is doing great! She is such a daddy's girl. I took some video of her crawling and playing but now Lance needs to find the software for our camera to upload it on my laptop. So maybe some video of her?! She is also sleeping through the night again but has decided that 5:15am is the perfect time to get up for the day. Not so perfect for mom or dad, let me tell you! She's goes to bed around 8pm. She's consistantly taking at least 30 mins -1.5 hr nap every day (well at least for the last couple of weeks!) so that's not THAT much sleep. Any suggestions on how to get her to sleep until 7-ish?? I'll even take 6:30!

We practiced CIO...but then we were also bad parents and would feed them milk (a bottle for Hayden or nursed Grace) and then lay them back down. It usually got them back down as long as we kept it as low key and dark as possible. Good luck! She must be trying to master something new - they seem to think they don't need sleep when that's going on :)

probably just try to feed her a big early lunch and put her down after see if that time will keep her sleeping a bit longer. She sounds a lot like Miss Anna, some kids are just not sleepy. At 5am Id keep it dark as possible and if she wants to nurse let her- no stimulation ( don't even have eye contact with her) and right back to bed. I HATE cry it out, but a little fussing won't hurt. She might just talk herself back to sleep. GOOOOOOD LUCK!

I don't have any tips for getting Miss M to sleep later unfortunately =( but I was wondering if you were participating in the World Equestrian Games this year? They are being held about 30 minutes from my house!

The only thing I can tell you (which is what everyone told me when we had sleep problems) was to keep their naps short even if you have to wake them..and maybe add some cereal in her bottle right before she goes to sleep. Hope she starts sleeping later for you..5:15 is waaaay to early! :)

No advice other than waiting for her to get bigger. Jillian wasn't sleeping through the night solidly until after her 1st birthday, and even then I had to resort to some CIO.

5:30, eh? I afree with Molly and I would probably use CIO. I'm also with Molly in that I'll give Karl a bottle when he wakes up that early. No way could get up that early!

Hope you get all your things done :)
