NO... it has NOT been 7 years since my last post:/ lol

It is our 7th anniversary! This is the 1st year, since our wedding in 2004, that we haven't had snow. There are a few flurries floating around but nothing that is accumulating! Love that:) We aren't doing any thing fun or romantic...just hanging out at home with the kids. I'm making Christmas cookies, we're going to decorate the tree and Makenna & I will probably go ride:) A nice day!

I'm a little behind on my JYC already but I'm going to catch up!

2nd- the weather outside is ________. Well normally in MN its frightful but this Nov & Dec have been fabulous!! The longer we can be without snow the better.
3rd - Christmas cards - Mine are ordered and should be here this week. My labels are printed and ready to go and I just need to write our Christmas letter. I had a hold up as our professional photos took forever to come back.
4th (today) -The Perfect Christmas. Hmmmm, I'm not sure what my idea of a perfect Christmas is? Let's see....softly snowing big fat flakes, just finished attending a wonderful Christmas service at church, picking up a large Pumpkin Spice White Chocolate Mocha (non fat no whip) at Caribou, going home to a wonderful supper, cozy pajamas, beautifully lit and decorated tree, snuggling with the fam by the tree while Uncle entertains us all with his antics. Snuggling sweet Jax to sleep and enjoying having him with us this year. Wondering what we did without him and Makenna for that matter. Relishing in the joy that the bring to us. Then falling asleep (out cold) from the said blessings wearing us out! lol

Why yes there is someone who still lives over here! Yikes! It's like I've been on vacation but not in the good way. Too much life and not enough living and enjoying. I will be here EVERY DAY in December though!! I'm doing the Journal Your Christmas again so I'm going to use this blog to help me remember everything:)

I will have lots of babe pics too because Mr Man is going to be 6 months old! Holy crap! Miss Thang too:)

So December will see a lot of action over here and I hope to keep it up from here on out. See ya later November! You've been great to us in MN... we have no snow! WOOT WOOT! Please inform your brother December that we'd like to keep it that way for another 20+ days;) May Dec 1 bring me less pain since I'm seeing the chiro tomorrow after work. I'm also bringing Jax to him on Friday to see if he can help him to sleep. Getting up 4-6 times a night STILL is NOT ok!! This momma needs some relief! Oh and I also started my diet with Weight Watchers online. Yes, I know...why before the holidays? Because I don't want to lose anymore than I already have too. Today is day 3 and its going well so far:) 30 lbs to go.....

Happy Halloween everyone! There will be pictures to come after 1 & 2 get up from their naps and we head out on our 1st trick or treating experience. It's going to be a brief one since the wind has quite the bite to it and I don't want to freeze my herd;)

It's been a long few weeks here. Lance was gone for 2 weeks and Jax is teething + got his 1st cold which = not sleeping. Plus I was asked to teach another class at work with 37 students in it. I'm going to be grading until I'm blue in the face and then some! Oh well:) I love fall. I love Halloween. I love pumpkin. Now if I could just get some of that lovely sleep then I'll be good;)

So we didn't put an offer in on the farm....yet. I'm still trying to decide exactly how much I can do by myself since Lance is gone so much.

Questions I ask myself...

do I really want to tackle a hobby farm with 2 little kids?
do I really want to have to do chores (horse) twice a day? With 2 little kids? In -40 degree weather?
do I want to start renovating an old farm house in the winter in MN?
do I want to lose out on this awesome farm?
how great would it be to have my horse live at my house?

The list goes on and on. I'm still undecided. There are currently no offers on the place except a super low ball offer (like they offered half the asking price:/ like that's going to happen?!) Also...since it is a foreclosure, the bank won't take or entertain any offers with contingencies. In this housing market, that doesn't sit well with me. I do NOT want 2 mortgages!

Ideally, I'd like to obtain the farm in the spring but then what problems are we going to have after the place has sat empty over the winter? It has been winterized if that helps at all?? Decisions decisions...

Anyone have any helpful insight??

We went and looked at a place in the country last weekend. The house is tiny compared to our house (but our current house is freakishly large) but the location and outbuildings are perfect! It's only 7 miles outside of B'ville so we would still be in the Bville school district which is also what we want. It is a foreclosure property so all offers have to be in by 2pm today.....we're thinking of putting an offer in and if we get it then great and if not then that's fine too. We ultimately want to end up in the country and this is the perfect location for us. It's right off the interstate which is great for commuting + no gravel roads. There's a barn with 11 stalls in it and an indoor arena. LOVE! The place needs a lot of work and cleaning up and out but give us a year or 2 and it will be fabulous. It all depends on how much work we want to do.....

I'll let you know what we decide..... :)

What an amazing time we had at Scrapfest! I did some SERIOUS shopping. Just scrap shopping except for the Ikea run and sneaking into Sephora with Marie.

I went to Scrapfest with my ~~normal~~ usual scrapping buddies. We all have such a great time. There is Anne, who is our moral spending nazi! She is very frugal and does not like to spend money. She tries to keep Marie and I in check and we try to corrupt her;) Anne has had a successful shopping trip if she hasn't spent anything. Stacy and Sarah are usually right in the middle of spending/shopping...they almost always buy but hardly ever a ton of stuff. Then there's Marie and I.....lol....thank GOD for Marie or I would always be the one who brings the most stuff, spends the most, ect. Marie and I like to spread all our loot out and take pics of it. Marie's pile was huge... although some of her stuff was from her classes and since it was her birthday, she also scored a bunch of free stuff.

Disclaimer** Stop crapping yourself Steve Ackerman, I paid full price for VERY little of this stuff (like extremely little - it was amazing!) and a nice portion was actually free stuff/prizes/class extras.

Ha Ha Ha! Apparently Steve (who is Anne like) was not so impressed with Marie's loot. Now the good friend that I am, I too took a picture of my loot. (please excuse the horrible photos as it was 9pm)

Now you obviously can't even tell what I bought because the picture is so crappy but there is A LOT of it there! This made Steve feel so much better that he isn't married to ME!! LOL Lance just shook his head:) In my defense, its been a LONG time since I've done this kinda damage. It was bound to happen cuz I'm finally not pregnant/anti-shopping. I also took 5 classes at Scrapfest and won prizes in 2 of them so that is about 1/4 of the stuff. Maybe even 1/3. When I was packing my stuff up to big downstairs to the command center, I found my bag from Crafts Direct Clearance center...oops! There's even more than what is pictured! Ha:) So add 3 more QK dies and about 10 more pieces of pp.

It was a great weekend! Now, I have a week filled with trying to get the house and everything else ready for Jax's baptism this weekend. Oh and the scrap garage sale on Saturday. I rented a table again so I need to get all my stuff priced and ready to go. Hope I sell a lot so I can buy some new lines at Scrap Pink the 2nd weekend in Oct.
~Really who am I kidding though?? I'm buying those lines whether I sell anything or not;) lol~

Well wonders never cease!! I was able to bust out a couple of LO's + some cards + have the hub on the road and both kids at home with me:) Woot Woot!!! Here's what I did:

Could Doodlebug be anymore perfect for me? Purple + glitter galore = Kelly!!!

This is the sign I made for the door to my scraproom aka The Command Center as my family lovingly refers to it:) Again Doodlebug is perfect for me!

While browsing at my LSS, I was looking at the BG Oxford line. I really like plaids and since I now have a boy, I thought this would be a great line to pick up. Then I saw the sticker page with the microscope on it!!! LOVE! I made this card for Dennis for his birthday. We bought our microscope servicing business from Dennis and his wife, Joanne, so the microscope is perfect! I need to pick up another sticker sheet so I can use that same microscope sticker for a LO with Lance on it:)

The 2 LO's I did are for Scrap That Baby's design team so I can't show those yet but I will soon:)

The girls and I are heading to Scrapfest in 10 DAYS!!! I can't wait!! It's my first time attending Scrapfest. I'm taking several classes too. I got into all my favs except for the Doodlebug mini album class:( Oh well! Next year! There will be loads of pictures + shopping pics from that little trip!!

Jax is seriously a fun baby! He is such a smiler + he's a hard core Momma's Boy!! Oh I love that:) He lights up for me like no one else. He'll smile, give me the eyebrow raise and "talk". It totally melts this Momma's heart! He just had his 2 month appt. He is 14 lbs (73%) and 22.5 in long (20%) so he's going to be short and wide! The first thing the pediatrician said when she walked in was "So Mr. Jax has another chin I see!". LOL!! He does:) He's chubby and it's so precious!

Makenna is a wonderful big sister! He calls him Cute.

Anyone: "Makenna, what's your brother's name?"
Makenna: "Cute"
Anyone: It's not Jax?
Makenna: No. Cute.

So we all call him Cute! I'm sure this is going to go over REAL well when he's a NFL linebacker;)

Ode to the Potato!

We survived another Potato Days! We have had carbs up to our ears & it's SO good! I always have the mashed potatoes, gravy & meatballs. Yum! Lance always has the Potato Sausage wrapped in Lefse. Makenna loved the potato sausage too. Then I went with the Grefsruds and Chad (the trainer) to have potato pancakes on Saturday morning. Again...Yummy!! Good thing we walked through all the vendors to work off those pancakes.

Later in the day was the parade. Makenna wasn't too sure at first because Momma has told her not to run into the street and now she's saying its ok and even encouraging her to do it and chase candy. After about 2 mins, she had it down. We wound up with a ton of candy! EEK!

Jax slept through most of it! He's a wild one:) Makenna also got to ride in Poppa & Grandma's 57 Chevy. Anything to do with Poppa is a HUGE thing for Makenna.

He's almost as popular, in her book, as uncle (my brother) & Madi (our daycare lady's daughter).

I'm starting to gear up for my 1st ever trip to Scrapfest in Minneapolis. I'm so excited to go:) It's going to be like Christmas morning for us girls!!! If anyone has any tips, please hook me up:) Thx!

Both kids went daycare on Thurs so I had the whole day to run ALL of my errands that have been piling up. I got everything on my list done:) Here's some photos to document!

Stuff from M's & HL. M's had all their glitter fabric pain on clearance...$1.79 instead of $5.99. I bought 1 of every color except gold because that was $2.99. If you look way in the back, you'll notice some candy/chocolate for the purple fridge!

OK, this is a horrible picture! You can't tell at all what is in here:/ Its black fluffy trim for a project I'm doing for a design team call and its brown minky for a turkey shirt that I want to make M & J for thanksgiving.

purple saddle?!!!

This is Makenna's 1st saddle! Yes it is a barrel saddle. Yes it has a purple ostrich seat and accents. Yes its tiny and going to look so funny on my big fat horse!

I wanted a barrel saddle for her first saddle because they are higher in the front and back so it will set her in there more securely. When my mom sent me a text that she found a PURPLE tiny barrel saddle on tacktrader.com, I had to check it out. I contacted the lady IMMEDIATELY and its ours! YAY:)

I will take pics when this fabulous saddle finally makes its way from Georgia to Minnesota and onto Faith's back. We're definitely going to need the BIG GIRL cinch to get it all the way around Faith:) Now I need to shop for some boots and a helmet.

(Yes I'm going to be one of those parents who insists on the kids wearing a helmet. Did I wear a helmet? Hell no! Would I wear a helmet now to ride? An even bigger HELL NO! BUT I know how to ride + I know my horse. I do know that accidents can happen but I'm pretty good at tuck and roll + there's not a whole lot of action in the indoor arena. I'm just saying...)

Definitely AWAL! I'm still working on that post about Jax and only Jax or Just Jax (insert jazz hands!). I decided I really wasn't busy enough with 2 kiddos + a hubby that is gone 4-5 days per week so I added in a 5 day horse show the end of July, an Allison Davis 5 week Sketch Support class the middle of July (HIGHLY recommend) + no daycare at all. EEK! The daycare wasn't planned but our provided and good friend had a family emergency so she had to head to Mississippi to be with her family. I'm hoping she'll be back this week but haven't heard.

The 5 day horse show went AWESOME!! I was only able to ride my horse once before the show but she was with the trainer so she was all ready to go. I was definitely rusty but we won a huge showmanship class out of 23 and that made my whole weekend since the show was huge and the competition was fierce. We also won several halter classes and did well in all the riding events too. I'm done showing for the summer now! LOL! I want to go out with a bang! j/k I actually have 2-3 more shows but I've chosen to do scrapping events instead since I'm not aiming for anything horse related right now. Its just really nice to ride my horse...although that is coming to a screeching halt since a certain 2 yo joins me at the barn most of time. If she had it her way, momma would help brush and saddle the horse but not ride at all! Stinker:) I try to ride 1st but it usually winds up with us both riding poor Faith and that leads to "Momma off!" and she's riding alone. I think we need 2 horses;)

The Ali Davis class I took at My Creative Classroom was awesome! I love her sketch books so I knew I would love the class. I was able to mostly stay up to date with the class even though I was gone to the show right in the middle of it. Here are 4 of the 5 assignments I did:

Speaking of picture taking, I have recently started shooting in the RAW thanks to a push and help from Stacy. It is SO much better and easier to adjust my photos. I was scared to try it but am so glad I did! Thanks Stac!

When did I ever have time to work?

Lol! I've been on the go this whole entire maternity leave. Run run run!! But, I like it that way:)

We were in Sioux Falls, SD for the 4th of July. It was so much fun! We hit the huge water park. I still can't go in the water yet but Lance and Makenna had a blast! We could not keep M out of the water. She was nap-free the entire day until we put her in the stroller to walk to the go-carts...that was about 7pm:) Jax and I hung out in the cabana we rented while he napped in the stroller and I read the latest Stephanie Plum book. I was SO glad that no one was real close to us because I found myself laughing out loud all the time! That dang Lulu (in the book) just cracks me up!

Lance had surgery on his nose yesterday. He doesn't do anesthesia well at all so they wound up keeping him in the hospital over night to monitor him. He wasn't keeping his oxygen levels up high enough + he was constantly dizzy + sweating + short of breathe. He's much better today and is home. He's actually at the post office right now...I'm not sure that he should be driving but I'm pumping (always!! and TMI...I know!) so I couldn't go right this minute.

I've ridden my horse once already and will be showing her the end of July at a 5 day show. I.Can't.Wait!!!!! Then she'll stay down here with me so I can ride all the time! YAY!! I'm so looking forward to that. I may hit 1 more show this fall (or not) but I really just want to ride. I hope to hit the shows hard next year:)

I'm taking a FABULOUS class from Allison Davis called Sketch Support (found at my creative classroom). It is so great! I love using Allison's sketches (along with other sketches) so to have her teach how to use them better is wonderful! I'm on week 2 of 5. I also just signed up for her Super Sketch kit club. I received the 1st one in the mail today... there is SO much in it! LOVE!! It includes paper + sketches. Awesome! Now if I can just get my scraproom back into working order.

Speaking of which... our stupid sump pump failed AGAIN!!! WTH?! Thank God I was able to save the zebra carpet! Actually all the carpet is fine but we lost all the pad. Yes, that would be the pad that is only 1 month old. It is barely paid for and now its shot:/ Oh well. It could be SO much worse! I keep thinking of my hometown of Burlington, ND (right next to Minot, ND) and so many of my classmates and friends have lost their homes to the flooding + insurance won't cover a thing if they don't have flood insurance. Most of them don't because they are not in a flood plain + burlington hasn't flooded in 40 yrs. So we are very lucky to have just a tish of clean water in our basement. It dried out quickly and we only lost the pad. Needless to say, a new sump pump is installed and a back-up sump pump that ties into our fresh water is on order. So sick of moving crap! My scrap room WAS in the basement but is now being moved to the level above that (but below the main level). The room was a spare bedroom but it's right next to M's playroom so it will be very convenient for me to have it there. Plus its right next to the laundry room and just stairs + a few steps from the kitchen. I already love it in that room! The zebra carpet fits perfect + my desk looks out on the beautiful lily garden:) It's perfect! Now to get everything installed and organized. Lance is out of commission for 8 more days so the installation will have to wait.

So that's the update! I'm going to do a picture filled post about Jax tomorrow and will be doing more regular blogging as of now. Expect a giveaway in the very near future!!! Have a great weekend!

today was the worst day of my life with the loss of our beloved Lily Ann Hope.

2 years ago, we were celebrating our beautiful baby girl, Makenna's, 1 month birthday. The loss of Lily was still pretty fresh but it certainly helped to have her beautiful baby sister in our arms to love and smooch on.

1 year ago, we were chasing around a crazy 1 yr old contemplating another baby. Lily's birthday came with memories of gratitude for the chance we were given to know her. Not as much pain/sorrow.

Today, we are still chasing that crazy girl, now a 2 yo + smooching on her chubby cheeked little brother who will be 1 month old tomorrow. Oh how time heals. Each year it gets easier and easier. My mom and I planted a flower (perennial) in Lily's garden today. We do that every year in her memory. She has a gorgeous garden! The lilies are overtaking the place! I will post pics once all the lilies are in bloom.

1st of all, yes I'm still pregnant. And not bitter at all:/ Lol!! I'm just going to say that Baby Boy's eviction notice has been served! He has until sunday to GET OUT!!! The sooner the better though!

So, my LSS was having a special celebration for their stores anniversary. If you bought something in May then you received a sealed envelope that could be redeemed on June 1 or 2. It had to be sealed still and opened by a store employee in June. So I went in on June 2, because I was in town for work, and this is what was opened:

14 DAYS!! YAY!!! We are having a huge storm right now so I was kind of hoping that would help shake Baby Boy loose but alas he's not moving. I don't think he's going to move on his own at all:/ I have another appt on Thursday so I'll let you know how it goes:)

1 WEEK from today....Makenna turns 2! How the heck can that even be?! I look at her and she just doesn't look like a baby anymore....much more like a little girl and it kinda breaks my heart but it also makes my heart soar with pride. She's wild, athletic, too smart for anyone's good, sensitive, independent but yet she still needs her Momma at times. She'll run around with the big kids and play so hard but yet every once in a while she'll come back to get some Momma snuggles. I love this! I've been trying to spend a lot of extra quality time with her as we both know things are about to change. For the better but that might be hard for her to realize sometimes. I'm hoping we can make her transition to being a big sister easy for her. She's such a good Momma to her babies...I'm hoping that will transfer to her brother too.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone! A HUGE thank you to all the service men and women, including my cousin in Afghanistan, for the sacrifices that you have and continue to make to ensure our safety and freedom! We will forever be in debt to you. For those that have given their life for their country and its residents, no words can even express how much we appreciate everything sacrificed by the military families.

ZEBRA carpet that is!! In my scraproom! LOVE it!!! The rest of the basement carpet was finished today along with both bedrooms, one of which happens to be my scraproom. I have always wanted zebra carpet in my scraproom so when Lance flooded the basement...I got it! I did also get enough of the matching basement carpet for when my scraproom becomes a bedroom again. I'm moving the zebra carpet back upstairs with me when the nursery is no longer needed and it becomes my scraproom again. Woot woot!

Now I need to touch up the painting while everything is out of there then start moving everything back in. I cannot wait until its all functional again. I have the major itch to scrap! I haven't scrapped a stitch since I went to a retreat in Feb with the girls. That is a huge drought for me. I was going to try to hit some crops at my LSS but I can't even find my stuff enough to do that. Plus this pregnancy has kicked my butt!

I had another OB appt today. Baby boy dropped lower but thats about all that is moving towards "go" time. I'll probably have to be induced because he's just too dang comfy in there:/ As long as its not on M's bday then I'm good with it!

I'll post pics of the new carpet and paint job as soon as its done...hopefully tomorrow!

Another OB appt.

I have 3 weeks and 1 day left! YAY!! I've been having some contractions so my OB wanted to check to see how things are looking ~down there~. I'm dialated 1 cm, baby's head down but still pretty high. I lost another lb... I'm sure it's due to the diabetic diet + the nice weather and being outside. My blood pressure is on the rise and much higher than what it was last week but my OB didn't seem too concerned. Overall, it was a good appt:)

I ran a bunch of errands afterwards then M and I planted some flowers in my pots and started making some Memorial Day sugar cookies. They are still in dough form chilling in the fridge.

We have a graduation tomorrow and I'm hoping to get all the rest of the wallpaper pulled down in the basement since our new carpet should be in the store this week and in our house by next week...hopefully!! I can't wait to get my scraproom put back together. I've been going through major withdrawals!!

My laptop is still out of service...it has several viruses + hard drive failure:/ The next computer I get, I'm going to try an Apple. I'm so sick of the Dell and HP's being so disposable and unreliable. My laptop isn't even 1 yr old. It's still under Dell warranty but if it wasn't it would cost almost as much to replace the hard drive as the computer itself cost. Dumb!

I really have one of the best LSS around! The owner is fabulous! I attend many of her events and always have a great time. She has great product and wonderful customer service. I sound like a PSA for her but I truly love having such an amazing store so close.

After M's 2 yr pics, we grabbed some lunch then ran to my LSS because she honors Michael's coupons on Mondays and I knew she has gotten in a ton of new merchandise + she ordered the new grape soda We R Memory Keepers album for me.

I only made it half way through the store before Baby Boy was kicking the crap out of me and I was getting really crampy so this is what I purchased. I need to go back and check out all the rest of the good stuff! I do also realize that I have virtually no boy stuff except the 4th of July paper. The Echo Park Summer Days could be used for both M and Baby Boy too. I totally skipped over the Doodlebug Boy Birthday line. Habit, I guess. That's one I'll be going back for:)

I'm home alone. With my feet up. Wearing stretchy pants + a hoodie. Sipping a diet dew fountain pop. Needing something to snack on but I'm too comfy to move and get it. Craving a nap but needing to grade papers. With 1 new magazine (Creative Spaces - all about scraprooms) and 1 new book (Mamarazzi -Photographing kids) sitting next to me just itching to be flipped open. Waiting for the UPS man to deliver our new fancy schmancy double stroller. Missing my sweet baby/big girl since I've been on the move so much this week but loving the peace and quiet that I know will be ending soon with the addition of Mr. Man. Listening to the "fat one" aka Maui (our cat) snore. Craving some scrapping time but knowing that isn't going to happen for a good while because of the ripped apart basement. Finding the silver lining of our basement flood...me getting ZEBRA carpet in my scraproom! WOOT WOOT! Lance didn't dare say no given that I'm hormonal, hugely preggo and super pissed off about the water issue. LOL! Sometimes it pays to be a drama queen;) or bitch!! Ha Ha!

Happy Friday to all!! Only 4 weeks left of this pregnancy! Baby boy was given the green light to come anytime now by Dr. R :) Hopefully I'll have my computer fixed and back to me sometime next week so I can post some pics. Miss Thang had her 1st haircut last night! She was absolutely perfect for it! She has her 2 yr pics on Monday. Can't wait:)

has the time gone? It's almost been a month since my last blog post:/ Yikes!!

I've given up on P52 (sorry Stac!!). I haven't uploaded pics for awhile + my computer crashed or got a virus so something so I'm using my old dinosaur laptop while Geek Squad fixes mine. I'm hoping my Carbonite backed up everything so I don't lose anything if they have to wipe out my hard drive.

I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes 3 weeks ago. What a pain in the ass:/ BUT at least I don't have to do the insulin shots. I can regulate everything with diet and exercise so far. I'm sick of poking my fingers though. I feel sorry for anyone who is truly diabetic... it sucks! Thank God mine is temporary!

I have almost 1 month left! Wahoo!! I'm very ready for this pregnancy to be over and done with. Baby Boy is growing right on track. He's still name-less unless you count the fact that I was planning on naming him Olivia because I thought he was a she:/

Makenna is starting to hit the trouble 2's. She's a great little girl but oh man does she have attitude. Yikes! + she's a drama queen. She'll be 2 in a little over 1 month. We are having a Hello Kitty birthday party for her but it's going to be a flexible party as who knows when Baby Boy will be joining us:) Makenna LOVES all things Meow-related. She picked out her party stuff. I just let her loose in Party America and of course she went start to the cat stuff. It's very cute though:)

We still do not have carpet in our basement and its ALL torn up. I picked out the carpet today and God willing, we'll have it in by the end of May/beginning of June. Hopefully before Baby Boy arrives. I've been nesting like crazy so the upper 3 levels of the house look great or at least good since I still have some to go but the lower 2 levels are painful with everything tossed everywhere.

We finally had our 1st 80 degree day today. Love it!! I'm not one who likes hot weather especially when its humid but even I can appreciate the warmth after the long and crappy winter we had. I'm looking forward to being able to work outside in the flower bed and landscaping and BENDING OVER!!

Makenna has her 2 yr pics next Monday with the same photographer we've used since she was born. Baby Boy has newborn pics set up with her too. I'm doing a wall of pics taken by Rialee so I want both to have sets of photos taken by her for at least this year for M and the next couple for Baby Boy.

I can't believe how fast 2 yrs have gone for Makenna! I went through her clothes and made 2 piles. 1 are my favs that I'm keeping for my brother when he decides to settle down and have babies. (PLEASE let him have girls!! I have SO many cute things!!) and 1 pile to garage sale. We decided to do a huge garage sale next spring during B'ville's City Wide Sale and get rid of the majority of our baby stuff as I'm NOT doing this again. I did want 3 kids but I most certainly do not want to go through another pregnancy like this. Ick! It's really hard to even think of parting with some of Makenna's stuff but right now I just can't see myself ever wanting to be pregnant again. I guess only time will tell. Plus I'm getting OLD!! LOL!

So I went downstairs last Monday. Lately I haven't been going downstairs very much due to my lack of desire to scrap + I can't (ha ha!) clean cat butt when I'm preggo but I went down to my scraproom to get some cardstock to make labels for some horse stuff I'm selling. As soon as I hit the hallway, I notice my socks are wet:/ Then I realize I'm squishing down the hall. WTH?! I do into the utility room and our sump pump hole is overflowing with water. So either we had a husband malfunction or a sump pump malfunction. Lance was gone for 9 days so before he left I asked him "So everything is good with the sump pump because all of this snow is going to melt this week". The response I received was "yes, it's all taken care of. Don't worry".

Hmm..... hence the husband for give away:/

So Monday nite when he gets home, we rip out all the sokaing wet carpet and pad and get the sump pump working again. Not a great job for a 8 month preggo woman but oh well. (read...hubby will pay for that!) So Service Masters comes on Tuesday and assesses the damage. Luckily there isn't any except the carpet and pad. They do leave 2 huge dehumidifiers and 12 huge fans to help dry everything out. These are in our house for 1 week. Now we have stuff EVERYWHERE!! It's only going to get worse as more stuff needs to move up in order for the carpet layers to put carpet in. We haven't picked out carpet yet because we've been too busy drying out. Monday we'll go pick carpet and hopefully have it all installed in the next week or so.

In the meantime, I'd really like to get all the wallpaper pulled off the walls and everything painted down there. I think that may be a bit of a pipe dream but at least all the wallpaper gone. There is A LOT of it!

So there it is. Thank God for insurance and my sheer willpower that my hubby is not buried in the back yard. He's still in the doghouse for it because of the mess. I didn't realize how bad wet carpet and pad stinks:/ Ick!! Its in the garage but still! ICK!!

Then I laughed and thought "ego much?". Ha ha ha!

Then I really thought, man would it be sad if you didn't like yourself:/ I've never had that problem (thoses that know me in real life are shaking their head in agreement..."yes she's never had THAT problem!! For sure). But what an awful thing to feel I would think.

So if anyone has had or is having that problem right now, know that you are fabulous! Maybe not in EVERY way possible but no one is. I admit my thighs need to be smaller + I may have a slight spending problem when it comes to scrap supplies, horses and M's clothes (oh shoes too!) + I maybe should be nicer to my hubby on occasion but inspite of my few (very FEW, Lee!!) flaws, I'm still just as fabulous as ever even though I'm WAY more round!! lol :)

The birthday:

Mine! Yesterday!! The best day to have a birthday!! Everyone's always up for a party or good time.

I went out for supper with a couple of hore show friends and had a blast. Granted I couldn't partake in the green beer portion but the burgers were amazing!! We sat and talked and laughed for 3 hours. Love girl time!!

I do have my photos taken for P52 but alas they are still on my camera as I've been grading my ass off this last week. So I SWEAR they will be posted by the end of next week:)

I know... I'm a slacker:) Oh well! I'm learning to embrace it!

I haven't done laundry, graded papers, cleaned for the last couple of weeks. Its been bad. I'm feeling much better now so I'm trying to catch up but I'm still so tired plus Lance's grandpa passed away last week so the prayer service was today and the funeral tomorrow (it was a blessing so he's not suffering anymore). I'm going to both since Lance is still in Vegas.

I did actually manage to get groceries, unload the dishwasher and take out the garbage so I'm trying not to be too hard on myself. I have 2 weeks of school left then a 2 week break. I can't wait!! I'm going to be cleaning and organizing the house + my scraproom the 2 days/week M is at daycare.

On a positive note, I was feeling better by the time the weekend rolled around so I was able to attend my LSS's garage sale. I sold lots and I got some great deals. I took pics of my purchases and am going to use it for my P52 but I haven't gotten them off my camera yet and I'm too tired tonight. But I did score big time!! The anti-me was selling great stuff (I don't know who's stuff it was) and I could have bought everything off her table. She was getting rid of cat eye inks, Smooch spritz, glimmer mist + a Sew Easy with 4 different heads! I got all of them! I have a Sew Easy already and 2 of the 4 heads but I knew several of my friends wanted one and they are impossible to find right now so I bought it. (Marie took it off my hands.) Plus it was only $5!!! Sweet!!

I was off scrapping with the girls last weekend. We planned our retreat around being close enough to St. Cloud so we could shop at Crafts Direct. What an amazing store! The place we stayed at was very nice but the lady who owns it kept coming in and chatting with us. That was slightly distracting and by Saturday night it was a tish annoying. I think the jury is still out on whether we'd actually go back or not. Anyways, all in all we had a FABULOUS time!! None of us where quite as productive as we normally are but it was fun anyway! For me, just getting 2 pages done would be way more productive than what I've been lately. Dang pregnancy!!

So here are my pics for last week and this week. They are both from my phone but I love them anyway:)

Here is what I scored at Crafts Direct. I forgot to take a pic of the few items I purchased from their clearance center. Oh well. I've never made it out of CD with spending under $50 until last weekend. I totally blame all of that on Mr Man (baby boy not Lance!) and being pregnant. I hate shopping of any kind while pregnant. It's so weird.

This is the Fashion Diva! Dressed all by herself 2 days ago. She has both hands palms up, hip jutted out and pursed lips like "Mmm hmm....its just this easy." She cracks me up!

Update on Mr. Man....I had another Dr's appt yesterday. Everything is great. My blood pressure went back down. I only gained 0.7 lbs from last month which I think is amazing since I'm HUGE! I really popped in the last month and I'm pretty puffy too:/ The next appt is the end of March. I have to do the glucose tolerance test then.... I can't believe its already that time yet I'm so glad! Mr. Man is not to arrive before June but I really can't wait until I'm done with this pregnancy. It's been pretty miserable. Lance is taking off today for 2 weeks (work & Nascar in Vegas) so I'm dreading that as its getting harder and harder to take care of M by myself. Oh well....we'll manage and probably have a blast doing it! At least that's what I'm going for:)

We had our 1st bout of Miss Thang being sick last night. She was playing and entertaining Uncle Lee while he was here, feeling completely fine. I put her to bed and all was good. She has had a cold but is getting over it so when she started coughing around 11pm we thought it was just a little cough until we heard the scream afterwards. She had thrown up in her crib and was very scared. We got her all cleaned up and the crib cleaned up. Lance was snuggling her in the chair and she puked on him. So I cleaned both of them up and I was snuggling M and she started puking again. I could totally feel her little body heaving, the poor thing. Finally she fell asleep and stayed asleep (puke-free) at 1am and slept until 7am. She's doing great today so far. She looks a little pale but seems happy and energetic. I have no idea what brought on the puking?!! It was nice that it happened while Lance was home though so we could tag team the clean up and keeping M comfortable. Alone it would have been very hard. Do-able but difficult.
Tonight we're suppose to go swimming with relatives in Fargo but we'll see how M feels. We might have to postpone that.. Tomorrow we're suppose to be going to visit my Gram in NYM but again, we'll see how M is doing first. That's the most important thing:) Plus I don't want to be puked on in the car;) lol

Copic markers + scrapbookers

How many of you scrapbookers use the Copic markers on your pages?

I'm not a huge card maker but I really like what people are creating with the Copics. I'm thinking I should take a class at my LSS to see how they really work and see if I can't incorporate them into my LO's.

Is anyone doing this? Do you have any examples of what you (or someone else) are doing with them on LO's? Hints, tips, ect?

Here is Miss Thang at gymnastics:) She absolutely LOVES playing on all the equipment and getting stamps on her hands & feet for doing different challenges.

Plus a little video action that I found on my phone from when M was much smaller. I get such a kick out of her eating. She is one to savor her food and really try to get everything taste out of it....hence the smacking!

Yep that is the bill (so far) for my fat cat, Maui, + his mysterious rapid onset illness. Last Sunday or Monday (I can't remember which day) Maui threw up. He's a long haired cat that we normally shave but not in the winter as we don't want to freeze his henie off. So, I didn't think too much of it. Then the next day he was throwing up every couple of hours and it had blood in it. Besides the fact that this was really disgusting, this is so not normal. Then we noticed his stool was loose (TMI) and contained blood. So off to the vet he went on Wed.

He's been there ever since. He's had xrays done, blood work, urinalysis, fluids given, loads of meds given, all sorts of things but the vets still aren't real sure what's wrong with him. They do know he has sturvite crystals in his urine along with a UTI so he's on antibiotics and special food for that. They think he has ulcers (that's causing the bleeding) and/or a severe bacterial infection in his GI tract. Again... no one is really sure what's going on and why it all happened so fast. I picked him up this afternoon on the vet's recommendations that he would be more comfortable at home over the weekend since he has not had a bloody stool or vomit for 24 hrs but he's also getting anti-nausea meds. He's still not looking great and really needs a bath but he seems more comfortable and not as crabby. We have him locked up so he doesn't get too far from the litterbox as that's a mess I don't want to have to deal with!

He has to have meds given twice a day plus I need to give a subcutaneous injection of his anti-nausea meds. I've never given a cat an injection before but the vet tech showed me how and I did it at the clinic plus I've poked tons of humans and horses so I'm not too concerned. I just hope he is on the mend now.

That vet bill is really cutting into the scrapbook fund;)

We're so excited and I'm a little shocked. I was totally expecting another girl so I just don't have a grasp on this boy thing quite yet. I'm still in shock:) Not that I'm not thrilled...I'm just not sure how to change from the purple and fuschia bling and glitter buying/loving momma to a boy momma. Can boys where bling? EEK! I suppose only if they are a rapper, huh? LOL

Well 1st on the newest baby front.... we have our "big" appt on Tues morning. Any guesses as to what we are having??? As long as its a healthy babe, that's all we care. I do seem to be stuck in girl mode though as I have a couple girl names we're pretty set on and nothing for a boy. Plus I'd really like to use M's clothes again BUT a boy would be fun as it would be something new and different. I've felt movement for several weeks now so that is always reassuring but I still have u/s anxiety from what we went through with Lily. I hate u/s appts until they are over and its good news. It seems that I have doubled in size overnite. I woke up this morning and my belly is huge compared to last night. Even Lance did a double take when he saw me today! I'll take a 20 week pic tomorrow or actually I'll have Lance take a pic.

P52 Week 2 & 3

OK...so I'm already a little behind but it's only on the posting. This has been a busy week for a non-procrastinator turned procrastinator when pregnant. We had our annual meeting and banquet for NDQHA (North Dakota Quarter Horse Association) on Sat and I had a million and one things to do that I normally would not have left to the last minute but when I'm pregnant and feeling like crap.... oh well... I had a lot of things to do! Anyway!

Here is the Week 2 picture.

Makenna wasn't feeling well and as a result was having a hard time sleeping. She woke up really early this morning and Daddy went to get her. They had some breakfast then snuggled on the couch for a nap or really to go back to sleep:) This is how I found them when I woke up (I got to sleep in!! Wonderful!!).

Today I'm not feeling well. I over did it yesterday at the banquet + I have Makenna's cold. Lance asked what I wanted for lunch and being the NON-high maintenance person that I am (~wink~) I said I want
these pancakes from the Pioneer Woman's food photo challenge. (Photo below taken by manda2177 from flickr) Seriously... how FABULOUS are these pancakes?!! Love them!

I was totally kidding about them needing to be colored but I did want pancakes. So I could hear Lance rustling around in the kitchen... he told me lunch was ready and look what I found....

How cool is that? OK so I arranged the pancakes and put the syrup on BUT he made me colored pancakes and I was totally kidding about the colored part!! He's a great guy:)

Let me walk you through a day in the life of Uggs, our Ragamuffin.

He sleeps with us every night, unless Uncle Lee is here in which case he bops back and forth from our bed to Lee's bed. I call him my "butt warmer" because he is always pressed up against my butt or the back of my thighs when he sleeps.

So yesterday morning he:

got up with me
had his morning treat while I had breakfast
played in the jacuzzi tub (M's bath toys are in there) while I showered
drank water from Lance's sink
took a nap in his cubes in the living room
I got home from a baby shower and Lance went to take a nap so Uggs went with him*

*Uggs has a "no one sleeps in our bed without him" rule :/

they slept for hours until I finally woke them up at 4:45pm
Lance got up...Uggs did not :/
we made supper and played
Uggs finally staggered down from our room to see what Makenna was screaming and laughing at
Lance gave M a bath while Uggs supervised
Uggs & I snuggled on the couch for awhile
M went to bed
shortly after that Uggs & I went to bed.

Now seriously?! How much sleep does 1 cat need? Apparently he got too much yesterday because he was up at 4:30am playing in our bathtub making all sorts of ruckus. He must have worn himself out though because when M woke me up at 7am, he was warming my butt again. Lazy meow:/

I am going to participate in P52....its the easier version of the die hard P365 which is to take one picture every day. I'm just not up to that. I sometimes have a hard time brushing my teeth once a day** much less taking pics all the time.

**Normally I'm a freak about brushing my teeth but I'm SO sick of gagging everytime I brush my teeth with this pregnancy that I really have to "talk myself into it". Ick.**

So P52 is to take a picture once a week. Well shoot, even I can do that:) So Stacy and I are doing P52...anyone care to join us?

I thought my pic for the week would be of M's 1st gymnastics class but I had NO time to grab the camera as she was a maniac and loved every minute of it! So when we got home, Lance's parents were at our house...they stopped by to drop off Christmas presents since the Haugen-Olson Xmas was cancelled due to all the snow. (oh shoot! lol) So here is my picture of the week:)

As a scrapper, it is SO hard to part with any pretty paper or quality cardstock or really anything that might be able to be used on a scrapbook page NO MATTER how small it is. I have a nice stash of scraps that are neatly organized in a hanging file folder thing that I NEVER touch. It just sits on my shelf collecting dust.

Why you ask? I have no idea. I just don't think to look through them.

I was at a weekend crop with the girls in November and sitting next to me is Stacy digging through her stash of scraps never having to cut into a precious 12x12 paper. Jealous much... as I'm cutting into my favorite glitter paper:/ So Stacy inspired me to get with it and find a way to organize those scraps so I'll actually USE them.

I searched on 2Peas for storage ideas. Heck, I've even graduated from the Wookiemouse Organizational Challenge (that's how my scraps actually got organized) but I just didn't know what would help me to look through the scraps first. Finally I found another like mind and she organizes by size. Hmmmm....I think that is what I need to do. Most of the time there are several colors that would work but I need a certain size piece of paper. So, this evening I pulled out all my scraps (except the one's in my crop bag, because I forgot about those.) and cut them to normal, not funky edges, sizes and put them in ziploc bags according to size. I have small cardstock, medium cardstock, long narrow cardstock (for edge punches) and at least 1 edge is 12x12 cardstock + 1 bag of pp. I am loving this system so far!! Granted I haven't ~used~ it yet but it just seems to make sense in my head + I can take them with me to crops!!! Bonus!

So thank you Stacy for inspiring me to be a scrap user!! I appreciate it:)

First off, I apologize for the silence over here. I still am feeling crappy 50-75% of the time so its hard for me to even get on the computer much less blog. No one wants to hear how crappy I feel and I have a hard time coming up with anything else at the moment.

This too shall pass!

2nd, Happy New Year to everyone!! We have had our 5 or 6th winter storm and are completely snowed in for the 2nd day in a row. All the roads are shut down and no travel is advised. We're hoping to get out tomorrow for church and brunch but we'll see. Since we've been snowed in, Lance's families Christmas was cancelled (its usually on NYE or NYD) since no one was traveling anywhere in eastern ND or western MN. This is not always a bad thing considering the drama that has been plaguing that family lately;)

I can't remember the last time I updated on BabyPITA** (lol!) but I had another great dr's appt. Very healthy heartbeat, no weight gain, good blood pressure, ect. We scheduled "the big" u/s for Jan 25. It's going to be a Level II u/s just because of our history with Turner's Syndrome with Lily. We did this with M too and found nothing concerning. Our OB is VERY cautious and conservative and anal so this is what he wants. Fine by me....except the appt is at 7am. Ick!

**We are VERY happy to be pregnant again and feel very blessed with this baby but its either laugh or cry with how crappy I've felt and I'm much more of a joker so BabyPITA it is** :)

Everything else is going well. Christmas was great. We had my brother and mom here and it was perfect. Uncle Lee and Miss Thang get along a little TOO well....they were up to something all the time. M loved opening the presents and truly savored every gift she was given. I was blessed with some purple Ugg slippers (thank you Uncle Lee), some great scrapbook and horse stuff (thanks mom &gma) and an color changing Ipod dock. That thing is SO cool!!!

I'm on vacation now so I WILL have all of this finished by thursday. I still hate to shop (which is solely pregnancy related because normally I LOVE to shop!!) which is hindering my productivity in most of these categories. I will just have to suck it up and get out there. Normally the shopping and wrapping is completely finished before Thanksgiving even roles around. Oh well! It will get done and if not then I'll just have to put the presents under the tree like Lee does...in the bag from the store he bought it at. Lol!

I will take a look for a local message board and/or check out the twin cities one as that's not too far away. Not that I need to be close to the people I talk to, but locals have insight on kids stuff happening in the area too which would be very nice.

Onto the next question... for those of you that have had several babies, have you had more pain/stretching/pulling/ with each pregnancy? I had some ligament pain with Makenna but nothing like this. I'm in some sort of abdominal pain about 25-50% of every day. Is that normal? Or am I defective;) I'm finally not feeling like crap (except for the pain) and super duper tired so I'm hoping this pain thing will go away too.

This is my finals week at school!! Have I told you how much I LOVE finals week as a teacher?!! Its great! I'm off to Dallas Wed-Fri for an AQHA meeting then rushing home to be at graduation for my first students Friday night @ 6pm. Then I will be laying on the couch relaxing for most of Saturday if I can get Makenna, Lance & Pain in the Front baby to cooperate;)

Dec 4th... Lance & I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. I can't even imagine where the time has gone:)

Dec 6th.... Makenna turned 1.5 yrs old or 18 months. AGAIN....where has the time gone?!

This week I'm 13 weeks and almost out of the 1st trimester! YAY! Hence the blogging again. I've been SO tired. As soon as Makenna is in bed (between 8-8:30pm), I'm heading to bed right after. Its been nearly impossible to get anything accomplished. I actually feel better this week. Not as tired... I'm sure I'll still be in bed before 10pm but at least its not before 9pm!! Progress:)

I'm still swamped under the 1st trimester pregnancy fog. This kid is not being so nice to his/her momma. I don't ever remember feeling this crappy with Miss Thang:/ Oh well, I'm almost in the 2nd trimester and things should get better then. Hopefully. God willing!

Lance and I are both avid Black Friday shoppers but I was simply too tired to venture out plus my brother was suppose to be with us for thanksgiving but wound up in Australia for work (tough life he leads!) so we didn't have a Makenna watcher. So Lance went out this morning and is still standing in line at Best Buy with the tv he wanted. My mom scored me a purple cricut and 2 carts that I wanted from Wally (she's the BEST MOM EVER!!!!) I can't wait to see it!! Now I have to sell my blue one that I bought last year on BF. So if anyone wants a very slightly used cricut cheap, let me know:)

Today we're putting up the Christmas tree and eating leftovers! YAY!! I don't plan on leaving the house all weekend!! Except to pull M around in the snow on her new sled and go to church. It's going to be great! I do need to grade papers too but that can wait!

We have a healthy heartbeat and very squirmy little baby in there! Just 1...thank GOD! They are keeping me at my June 13, 2011 due date so far. They said its hard to tell this early plus every baby grows differently. Next appt is in 1 month:) YAY!!

As far as the silence here.... get use to it because I am EXHAUSTED! And feeling like CRAP! Ick. I'm don't remember feeling this bad with Miss Thang.... maybe its mom's selective memory too? Who knows?! I'm taking the B6 (half a tablet) every 6 hrs to try to help and it kind of is but not enough. Only 3 more weeks until I'm out of the 1st trimester! Then, hopefully, it will get better.

So we decided to start trying a couple of months ago...well actually its more than a couple since I'm a couple months preggo already. Anyway... I have been showing my horse like crazy so we thought we would casually try until after I'm done showing then really get to it. So I'm out in OH for the second time (the middle to end of October)....

Lance: have you gotten anything yet?

me: are you sending me something?

Lance: No. Your period.

me: Um. Ya I'm sure I have.

Lance: this month?

me: Um.....

Lance: I don't think you have.

me: Um.... I did sometime. Right before the horse show.

Lance: You mean in Sept.

me: Oh, ya. That's the last one I remember.

Lance: I think you're pregnant.

me: Um.... no.

So the next morning I grab an ice cold diet dew out of the fridge and head to the barn. I look at the dew and think, hmmm ick. Ah what the hell? That grabs my attention because diet dew is my life line. I must be preggo because that's the only time I can't stand diet dew. So off I go to Wally to get a pregnancy test. Being the lab preson that I am, I think well I better take it in the morning because then my urine is the most concentrated (again not thinking or realizing that I'm already 7 weeks preggo and it'll show + if I sneeze on it!) So the next morning I take the test and watch what I think is the control line turn super + as soon as the urine hits it. The control line turns + a little later. I'm thinking hmmm, where's the + sign? So I'm not pregnant? Weird. I look at the test a while longer than read the box. DUMB.

So I laughed at myself and my inability to accurately read a pregnancy test and the rest is history! I have my first docter's appt next Tues for blood work, the exam and to see the little stinker. So if anyone has any extra healthy baby vibes you want to throw this way, I'll take them. I always dread u/s because of what happened with Lily. I don't think I'll ever get over that feeling:/

Shoot!! Just 1/3 of a stinkin point! Oh well:) At least we were still in the top 1/3 of the class:) This is in my halter class. I placed 6th, 11th & 11th under the judges so I just barely missed it:/

So is it better to miss your goal or desires by a little (aka 1/3 of a frickin point) or by more so you don't sweat it?

Miss Thang is taking a nap and I'm getting caught up on mail, ect. I'm off to Ohio again Friday afternoon for 9 days so the blog will be a little quiet. Sorry!! I'll kick it into gear again in Nov and Dec though:)

Here is the layout I did for this prompt over at Scrap That Baby. This is one of my ALL-TIME favorite lo's!! I love it so much that its hanging in my kitchen. One of the reason's its a fav is because this is my aLL-TIME favorite face that Makenna makes:) It warms my heart everytime I see it. We don't get to see this face as much as when she was little but when she's really concentrating on something, her lips pull together and push out like a duck bill. LOVE!!!

Last weekend I was scrapping with the girls at my LSS. It was so much fun! We all got a lot done especially once we each bought an Allison Davis sketch book. Between all of us, we have every one and they are SO helpful when doing multi-photo LO's. I would highly recommend them. I also just received a notice from Amazon that they are shipping my PageMaps 2 sketch book too:) I think I'll be in OH when it comes but that's ok... I'll have it for the hunting crop in November with the girls again. We really have SO much fun!! We're planning a retreat in feb where we'll go away and stay at a scrapping retreat house and scrap & shop until our fingers fall off:) Can't wait!!

I'm off to OH friday morning at the butt crack of dawn....flight leaves at 5:35am but I'm in OH by 9:30am so that will be nice. I show on sunday morning then fly out early monday so I can get back to teach on Tues & Thurs. It'll be a quick trip but hopefully extremely successful! Keep your fingers and toes crossed and maybe say a little prayer that we kick butt;)

www.scrapbookpictures.com on Thursday of last week and received them today (quick!!). I wanted to try them out and I loved all the pics from the fall festival and M's 1st birthday so I thought I'd spend a little more to have those pics printed. I was NOT disappointed! Now when I say a little more expensive, I mean as compared to www.winkflash.com or www.artscow.com when they have their 4 cents sale. Scrapbookpictures is definitely not expensive compared to Walmart or Target. The ease of use for editing/cropping was MUCH better than the others that I've used. They have so many fun frames and accents that you can add too (& not hokey ones like Snapfish & Shutterfly). I did try them on a couple of photos and love them. The size of the photo options are fabulous too! That's one of the things I like best. I ordered some square photos (5x5, 4x4 & 3x3) plus a couple of 4x8 and 4x12 (I believe) along with many 4x6 and 3.5x5. Love them all!!!! I like my photos with the matte finish so I ordered all of them in pro matte. Perfect in my opinion! I'm going to try the metallic finish next time.

The Vikings won!!!! About time:/

It's been the perfect fall day! Sunny goodness, great football, good eats (pumpkin spice donut muffins!! Yummy!) plus Lance went to town so he picked up my garage sale stuff that didn't sell and there was hardly anything! YAY! Plus I have $70 to spend at my LSS!! Can't wait:) It bet it will be gone by Friday which is day 1 of ScrapPink at that LSS. This is the 2nd or 3rd time weh've attended ScrapPink...it's always fabulous!!

This is Week 2 of my 2 week vacay so I have lots of school stuff to set up but I'm also riding, shopping, scrapping and enjoying the nice weather! Please don't let this week go by too fast:)

We attended our 1st Fall Festival and Makenna LOVED it!! She was quite the hit also with her waving and ooooo-ing, ect. She loved all the pumpkins. It's amazing that we didn't come home with 25 pumpkins instead of 2! We almost wound up with a wagon too as she wouldn't leave them alone.

**Please excuse the fact that I am having a bad hair day and I look very tired/puffy/frumpy:/**

We had a fabulous time!! Can't wait to scrap the photos. Makenna had so much fun and thoroughly wore herself out! Love that;)

Horse show hangover.

I was at a 4 day horse show (Thurs-Sun) and I am hungover! No, I'm not nauseous or have an aversion to fired foods but I am wiped out, only want to lay on the couch and sleep. Did any of that happen? Umm have you met Miss Thang? She was very happy to see momma! So happy in fact that she got up 7-10 times last night (I lost track around 3am) to see momma again and again and again. Ugh. Lance slept through the whole thing:/ She was screaming too so I have NO idea how he did but he did and I was a little bitter about it.

Faith and I had a GREAT show! We did really well:) YAY! I have 1 more show left and it's the BIG ONE in Ohio for all of October. It will be fun/exciting/exhausting/nerve-wracking/exhilarating/expensive but hopefully after it's all over with, I'll be able to cross something off of my bucketlist. Maybe 2 things if Jamie Foxx were there;) Umm, oops...was that out loud?!! Eek!! Sorry Lance! ha:)

It's finals week in the world of Rasmussen and quarters. Oh how I LOVE finals week. Much much better as a professor vs student:)

First off, thank you for the suggestions on the e-reader, kindle, nook, ipad. I'm still not sure that I ~need~ one so maybe it will go on the Christmas list:)

Onto some more suggestions. Anyone have suggestions on good books to read? I'm just finishing the Charlaine Harris "Sookie Stackhouse" series and love them. Very funny! I've read the latest Janet Evonich "Stephanie Plum" book (& the whole series). What else? Is "The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo" good? Any other recommendations? I've been listening to a lot of audio books while I grade homework. I love multitasking!!!

It is raining cats & dogs here! I love this weather:) I'm busy wrapping up work stuff and getting packed up for the horse show this Thurs-Sun. This is my 2nd to the last show of the year. The next one is the "Superbowl of Horse Shows" as my hubby calls it in Ohio for all of October. Can't wait until that one!! I'm getting a little nervous already for that but in a good way.

Makenna is again adding to her tricks. She already gives the "I'm done" sign but today she gave me the "more" sign. Of course when I tried to get her to do it for Lance she wasn't having it:/ Stinker! She runs everywhere, climbs everything and is a general terror! She said ball today when trying to steal Teddy's ball on a rope. I have a feeling the words are going to start pouring out and then there will be NO end! Maybe since her parents are such shy and quiet people, she will follow suit!! tee heee

Tractor lovin'

Lance, Makenna & I went to a Steam Thrashers Reunion (or gathering or something like that??) this morning in Rollag, MN. It is a VERY big deal around these parts. People come from many states to go to this. So we decided to join them since it is about 15 miles from our house. Lance hasn't been there since he was 14 yo and I went with my bro and grandparents about 20 years ago. Plus I was promised a killer breakfast so I was in!

Rollag, the tractor lovers & overall wearers did not disappoint! The breakfast was awesome. So was the ice cream, homemade donuts and I still have a caramel roll waiting for me for tomorrow morning. They had a parade were all the old tractors give up the road. It was so cool to be able to see all the tractors without having to walk miles and miles to see them all.

Makenna's favorite part, other than the ice cream, was a guy driving a tractor with a dog in the wagon. She kept meowing and oooo-ing while pointing. It was so cute. She and I also enjoyed the mini train ride. It was a great day:)

In Makenna updates, she's now saying meow, mine (nice:/), up... I think that's it. She is feeding herself 95% of the time using a spoon or fork! I'm so proud of her on that!! She wanted to do it herself. I didn't have to teach her really, she just kept reaching for the utensil so finally I gave it to her. Tonight she ate ALL her peas & carrots, mash potatoes and pork loin. Plus I gave her senconds and she ate all that with her spoon. Such a BIG girl:) So proud of her!

Kindle, nook, e-reader?

Anyone have an e-reader? I love electronics! I wasn't sure I wanted or needed an e-reader but I'm kinda thinking I might;) So can anyone make a suggestion? I saw on the Today Show or the Evening News or somewhere that you can get e-books from the library (for free) but they are not very compatible with the Kindle. Anyone have this problem?

We're wrapping up the last few weeks of the summer quarter at school. The students are freaking out over finals and I have papers to grade that stack up about 2 feet high! Now that I'm a teacher, I LOVE finals week. I don't have to prepare for anything as I already have my tests made and ready to go. I don't really have to do anything except grade tests and labs and answer questions. It's a very relaxing week for me:) Not so much for my students!!

L, M & I are off to Brainerd for our annual Labor Day extravaganza at Dennis and Joanne's house. It is always so much fun to visit them. They are even busier in retirement then they were when working so its nice that they could fit us in:) Makenna is going to terrorize their house! Yikes! They have a gorgeous yard with flower beds galore so she can run around out there too. The rest of the holiday weekend will be spent at home enjoying family time. We might go to the local State Park to do some hiking if its nice out. I want to get all my fall decorations up too. September isn't going to be that busy but October will be insane so I need to get as much done now as possible.

Who else is giving a triple arm pump for fall coming?!! Pumpkins, apple cider, sweaters, down vests, crisp air, beautiful leaves.....my FAVORITE time of the year!!

What an amazing day for our household! It just seems like everything finally fell together. Not in a "we're having a baby" or " we won the lottery" way but in a real way.

This week or more so TODAY, we:

sold our big horse trailer (40 ft living quarter 4 horse Bloomer) to a wonderful family in Arkansas
found and bought a new trailer (2 horse bumper pull Bloomer) in Texas... it is exactly what I want but cheaper than I ever thought we'd find it.
traded in our big crewcab dually truck for another work vehicle for Lance in Omaha, NE because we don't need the big truck anymore with a bumper pull. My Cadi will pull it just fine.

So Lance already met with the family that bought our big trailer this morning so we could trade trailer for $$$. Then we finalized the deal with the new trailer in TX. He's currently in Sioux Falls, SD working and will be driving our truck down to TX to get the trailer tomorrow. Then he found the new vehicle (Chevy HHR) he is looking for in Omaha which is on the way to/from TX. So he'll stop there on Saturday on his way back home to get that finalized. He will either have a driver follow him to Fargo with the HHR and the driver can take the truck back with him or I will drive down to Omaha with the Cadi and pick up the trailer while Lance drives the HHR.

Wow.

Did you get all that?! It's amazing how everything just fell into place! Lance and I were discussing the benefits/costs of a driver driving the HHR up instead of me coming down. Lance said, well I suppose you'll want to stop in Sioux Falls at that scrapbook store that you've always wanted to go too and I'm sure there are more scrap stores in Omaha.... so maybe a driver would be cheaper in the long run!! He knows me SO well:)

Then our town is kicking off Potato Days tomorrow. So not only have we had an awesome week but we'll have an even better weekend filled with carbs as far as the eye can see:) Yay!!!!

Recipes:
This is one of our BBQ/picnic/potluck favorites!! I double and triple it since it's such a huge hit. This salad is better after it's sat in the fridge overnight so make it the evening before. Enjoy:)

Ranch Pasta Salad

Ingredients

3 cups uncooked tricolor spiral pasta

1 cup chopped fresh broccoli florets

1 cup chooped fresh cauliflower

3/4 cup chopped seeded peeled cucumber

1/2 cup seeded chopped tomato

1 bottle (8 ounces) ranch salad dressing

1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions

Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold water. In a large bowl, combine the pasta, broccoli, cucumber and tomato. Drizzle with salad dressing; toss to coat. Sprinkle with cheese. Yield: 8 servings.

I know I am WAAAAAY behind the times but I finally joined the B'ville library. How fabulous is that!! I can order books, books on CD and audiobooks online (aka in the convenience of my pj's and couch!!). The books and books on CD are shipped to our library where I can pick them up. Here is my debut on Scrap That Baby! So excited about this!! I was at a K&Kraft crop Friday and
Saturday and had a blast! I got several layouts done, lots of yummy food consumed and LOADS of girl talk caught up with.

It's been awhile since I've had a real QUALITY post so here we go:) Well... kinda....

First off, I have to apologize for the lack of pictures as I've been switching from my old laptop to a new laptop. Lance needs to supply one of our employees with a laptop so he gets mine. My new one is pink...I'm not a huge fan of girly pink (LOVE hot pink) and this one is in between the 2. I figure I can always buy a laptop skin. In purple of course!! So I'll try to get thing switched over this weekend but I have a bunch of work projects that I need to complete by Sunday first:/ Boo!!!

Makenna is growing like a weed. She is tall and lean and looking like her father more and more every day. Today was a drama queen day (she gets that from Lance!!) with a lot of crying and throwing herself on the floor. It gets SO old. Oh well. Normally she's much better than today. She does have 4 new molars poking through so I guess that gives her a free pass to drama-ville. Mama wants a free pass:/

I have more Makenna stories for you but right now I'm drawing a blank. I was up until 1:30am scrapping last nite (oops!!!) so my brain has since shut off. I was on such a roll! It was so much fun to scrap like that. I miss the pre-baby late nite scrapfests that I would have. It wouldn't matter how late I stay up because I could sleep in in the morning. NOT SO MUCH anymore. Miss Thang is an early riser. I'm not wishing time away but man I cannot wait until she wants to sleep until noon!!!!

I'll have to make myself notes of all the M stories I want to share so that way I will remember them when I sit down to blog. I'm off to bed. We're heading to the lake tomorrow with friends. Its suppose to be HOT. YAY!! G'nite!

Best cookies EVER!! Seriously. Yum!! They were easy to make, pretty to look at and FABULOUS to eat!! Lance said these are by far this favorite cookie ever. That's what I did today:) Along with painting Miss Thang's playroom. I ran out of raspberry chalk paint so I'm off to Menards to get another quart. I hope to have it finished tomorrow.

I spent Friday evening scrapping after M went to bed. I had some design team challenges that I wanted to get started on plus some fun summer lo's for the "Scrap That Baby" blog hop Aug 18-22. It's going to be exciting!!

This week I'm teaching Tues & Thurs (briefly) then heading to a 4 day horseshow in Fergus Falls. It's going to be a little challenging at the show considering I'm on crutches. Plus I just found out today that the trainers are not going to the show because they are leaving early for the AQHYA World Show so I'm on my own. Which I really don't mind at all and would really be looking forward to it BUT I'm on crutches. Oh well. My mom is going to help me and really Faith and I have been doing this for years so I'm not worried. I am looking for to it though:)

I'm off to bed. AFTER another S'more cookie and glass of milk. That diet will start tomorrow. Or whenever all the sS'more cookies are gone. Which also could be tomorrow;)

last night at 11pm. Ember finally had Norman Crispin!!! Ok, so she and Aaron decided to go against my name choice and actually named their adorable little boy Niklas David. He's 7 lbs 1 oz and 19.5 in long. I love the name and spelling!! So cool! Niklas has a TON of dark brown hair. He looks just like his dad. He makes the cutest faces and noises when he's sleeping.

Lance, Miss Thang and I went to the hospital to see them this afternoon. On the way, we ran into my OB and one of the nurses that helped us when M was born. It was like a little reunion! They couldn't believe how big M was already. The nurse told us we needed to get going on the next one so she has good job security. Too cute:)

Ember, Aaron & Niklas are doing well. Ember is tired and sore but looked happy. She's definitely a natural. They are all going home tomorrow. Niklas seems to be very laid back and likes to sleep. Hopefully that will continue so Ember can get some sleep.

Both Lance and I held Niklas. It's hard to believe that M was that little 1 year and 1 month ago. M was very interested in Niklas and wanted to touch him. She was very gentle with him under our watchful eye as she's known to "pet" pretty rigorously! After awhile, M was not too impressed when I was still holding Niklas. She was trying to climb in my lap too. I thought she might have a problem with Lance holding him since she's such a Daddy's girl but she really didn't mind that at all. M got over it and just played after that.

My foot is healing but still very sore. I'm probably doing way too much on it but how are you suppose to stay off of it and chase a crazy 1 yo?

I'm sitting/laying on the couch with my bum leg elevated because after a day at work my leg is killing me. Anyway, we are under major storm warnings and even saw a funnel cloud! Lance and I are watch from your biggest window type people not the run to your basement at the first hint of rain. We love storms! Nothing better to sleep and relax to then rain, thunder and lightening. Now the tornadoes and hail I can do without:)

Lance is giving M a bath and I am enjoying relaxing. If only the throbbing pain below my knee would stop:/ I actually kind of feel bad for having to ask/boss Lance around to help me/ get me things. Shocking...I know!! I don't like asking for help for any reason so that is hard for me. He being really good about it though. M and I are on our own tomorrow and Thursday since Lance needs to tend to some emergency calls. We'll be good though. My mom is going to help me after she's done with work tomorrow. If the weather is decent the we are going to sit by the lake and watch M play while eating Zorbaz pizza. Yummy!!!

Boo!! But at least its not surgery or super severe and I don't have to wear a boot or cast because it's my foot not ankle that is the injured part. The doctor suggested a boot but I talked him out of it because it really wouldn't help that much more than just staying off of it. Now...to stay off of it:/ I forgot how bad crutches suck!!

I appreciate all the support (& kinda sorta support or not.... Gina!! tee hee) on my giving up of the diet dew. I almost caved today with all that was going on but I held strong. I am allowing myself 2 dews a week at first then decreasing to 1 dew. I was hoping to make it until Sat to have one but I think I might NEED it tomorrow. We'll see.

I'm off to bed so I can get settled and comfy before Lance tries to hog all the bed;) Luckily he came home early to help me take care of M. Such a good guy.

filled with many ups and 1 huge down.

Fall down actually.

I'll start with that. For those of you that have been to our house, you know we have 7 million stairs. We have a 5 level house so there are stairs everywhere including 1 step down into our sunken living room. M & I were just coming down from upstairs...I made it down those stairs with no problem. I step down into the sunken living room so we can play with her thousands of toys and my ankle (not bad one!) blows out the side and we both go flying. I don't know if my flipflop slipped out or to the side of my foot or what happened?? All I know is that I'm flying through the air in major pain, Miss Thang is just barely dangling in my arms and screaming because she doesn't know what the hell is going on and I'm heading for the coffee table. I manage to grab M so she doesn't fall eventhough she is upside down and I'm holding onto her by her legs. I try to tip myself over instead of doing a header into the huge wood coffee table, which I do but I have no idea how. I gently lay M down on the ottoman (she's still screaming), I'm on the verge of tears because my bloody ankle hurts so damn much.

Then I get the giggles.

And I can't stop.

Poor M is looking at me like I've lost my mind.

I can't quit.

Finally I gather myself, calm M down and assess the damage. It starts to swell immediately and is throbbing and tingly. Now it's not very swollen but solid black and blue. I can barely put any weight on it. Tomorrow is going to rock:/

So I think I'm going to have to go in to see if its a bad sprain or I actually broke something.

Sheesh.

OK, now onto the up's!!!

I went to see Eclipse with the girls last nite. Grrrrrrrrr!! Jacob. is. HOT! Super Hot! Like OMG hot! Grrrrrr! It is a great movie (and not just because Jacob is shirtless in most of it. Eventhough that is AWESOME!!!). I would definitely go see it again. And again. And again. ect.

Oh crap, I forgot about another down for me but up for my body. A couple of friends of mine have given up soda completely (even diet) and lost 20+ lbs. SO.... I am giving up one of my reasons for living....my diet dew. ~sigh~ It's a sad day in the Haugen household. I will allow myself 1 diet dew per week and that is it. I'm completely diet dew free for 24 hrs. The only time I give up diet dew is when I'm pregnant so this isn't too difficult but still sad to give up that ice cold can of diet dew every morning, noon and night.
OK, so maybe I have a problem. I seriously can drink it ALL day long and never tire from it unless it's really hot out and I need some water.

I have more to discuss but this is getting really long already so I will end here. I'll let you know how the ankle ends up. Frickin ankle.

our hearts were bursting with joy and love for our 1 month old Makenna Zophia.

we continue to thank God for the blessing of both our daughters eventhough we didn't get nearly enough time with Lily. I look forward to meeting her again in heaven. Until then, I will continue to love and cherish each moment I have with Makenna and all future siblings.

We love and miss you very much Lily. Save a spot for mommy and daddy in heaven with you and the Grandpas:)

He asked why him?

I said because then it didn't matter what we did on the island. We stuck there so I wouldn't go to jail for having my way with him! Ha!

He looked at me, sighed then said he's 18 now.

I pondered this for 1/2 a second and said my answer still stands and now I'm not even illegal!! Just a dirty old woman;)

So what type of headphones/ear listen thingies do you have for your Ipod? Mine are just the ones that came with my Ipod. They are not very comfortable:/ Any suggestions? If they would happen to come in the color purple too, I would be in total LOVE!!!

Miss Thang has completely recovered from Roseola and is feeling great again. We had her 1 yr appt on thursday. She grew another 2 inches but only gained 1/2 a pound which puts her at 17.5 lbs. This was completely ok since she's running around most of the time. The pediatrician said M has the motorskills of a 15-18 month old:) She (the Dr) was VERY impressed with Miss Thang. Of course, she's seen her since 3 days old so she's use to her skills and entertainment! M did pretty well with the shots and finger poke. Such a big girl!

I went scrapping with the girls on Friday. I was able to get my Ail Edwards "A Week in the Life of the Haugens" album all put together except for the journaling. I'm pretty happy about that. It's always nice to get some creative time in. I did clean up my scraproom last week. It's not perfect yet, but at least I can fit more than 1 person in there now. It was SO bad. I'm hoping to finish that up on Tues or Thurs of this week while M is at daycare. I do need to buckle down and get my online class set up and ready to go since we start the summer quarter next Tues.

That's about it for now:) I'm hoping we can get out to the lake soon as mommy needs to get her tan on before the summer is over:/ EEK!!

Now a rash...

So M's fever broke last night/this morning but then she developed a rash on her chest, torso and back. WTH?? Thank goodness it was Gina to the rescue!! She said to watch out for Roseola as both her kids had it around M's age. Sure enough. I read up on it and that sounds exactly like what M has/had. She had a more mild version of it since she had a low grade fever followed by the rash. She's feeling better, not as lethargic and crabby but still not quite the same. Hopefully by tomorrow or Wed. Poor Miss Thang!

Other than that, I finally got my flowers planted. They look very nice:) I'm hoping, if M feels better tomorrow and she goes to daycare, to get M's new playroom primed then painted eventually. Along with my cleaning and organizing my scraproom which is a disaster area. I really should take before and after pics. Eek. Maybe. It's THAT bad!

I also have to confess. I am officially addicted to The Real Housewives of New Jersey!! Those women crack me up! Love it/them!!!

So M hadn't gotten any better this morning. She was lethargic, clingy and generally unhappy. I went to change her from her jammies to a tshirt and shorts and she freaked out when I pulled her shirt off/over her ears so I thought maybe it's an ear infection. So in we went to the peds walk-in clinic, after I checked the waiting time (0-15 mins!). We were in and out in 30 mins. No ear infection, no strep (at least the rapid was negative), so the Dr. is assuming a virus and we're just suppose to watch her. We have M's 1 yr appt this Thurs with her normal Dr so if M is still running a low grade fever then she will do more tests. Since then, M's fever seems to have broke but she's still very crabby. I'm hoping the end is in sight, poor thing. She would not nap so we threw her in the car and drove around the lakes area looking at lake homes. We found a couple for sale that we'd like to check out more closely. Gotta love online home shopping! We also hit Zorbaz all while M slept so we all got what we wanted!!!

Miss Thang is feeling a little down and out. She has a low grade fever and just not her normal self. If she's not better by tomorrow, I'm hauling her into the walk in clinic. Poor thing:(

Oh better news, my horse (faith) is KICKING major BUTT!! She and Chad (the trainer) were the Circuit Champions at the Cap Gun show in WI this weekend!!! There was some major competition out there so that is a pretty big feat! I wasn't able to be out there due to work commitments. Dang work:/ Faith and I did awesome in Nebraska last week. So did Chad and Faith. I'm so proud of Faith!! She's really doing better than ever:)

I'm going through a major creative juice overflow.... I REALLY need to scrap! The only problem being is that my scraproom is a disaster area!! I can't even SEE my desk much less be able to work on it. I need to clean but I don't have the energy to tackle it. Lame excuse, I know but its the truth. Now that I'm on a 2 week break from school, that is my job along with painting and decorating M's play room.

Or at least the airways! She made her 1st plane adventure with Lance to come visit me in Lincoln, NE while I was showing my horse. It was a very interesting flight for them and that had NOTHING to do with Miss M! Their plane was struck by lightning on the way to Lincoln!! Nothing went wrong but they did have to turn around and go back to MN as a precaution. Yikes!! I guess M was an awesome flyer! No crying or screaming, just a lot of smiling and waving at the fellow passengers which was a big hit with everyone! She's such a charmer!

She's also officially weaned! Yay!! (especially for momma!!) It was actually pretty easy so we were both lucky there!

I have lots of other stuff to talk about including my horse show in NE and M's 1 year pics but I'm tired! I'm going to bed so more tomorrow!!

1 year ago tomorrow I was going through back labor for 16 hours all to be blessed with a beautiful baby girl (and epidural!!!). What a difference 1 year makes! I just got done making her cake. I tried my hand with fondant. It really wasn't too bad. The cake is not what I had intended to do at first but it turned out pretty cute. It was A LOT of work. Really too much work for it not being very intricate but oh well. Miss Thang only turns 1 once!!

This is also my 300th post!! YAY!! I am going to make a better effort to post more often and have more substance in my posts. Be on the look out for LOADS of pics from tomorrow's festivities! Can't wait:)

Another fabulously exhausting weekend at a horse show!

~sigh~

There is no other way I'd rather exhaust myself then at a horse show! We wrapped up a 3 day show with a fabulous last day. 4 - 1st places, 2 - 2nd's, 2 - 3rd's. Great day! It is also 1 WEEK until Makenna turns 1!!! I can't even imagine I will now have a toddler and not a baby:/ Crazy! We are having a party for her next sunday followed by her 1 year pics on Tuesday then after I'm done teaching on Wed, we are hauling *ss down to Nebraska to another horse show for the rest of the week/weekend. I'm missing 2 days of the show due to teaching (and M's pics) but it's the week before finals so I can hardly skip out on my students because Professor Haugen wants to go show her horse. Even though I REALLY want too!!

For Memorial Day, we are getting the house cleaned up and decorated for M's party. I need to grade papers and make study guides for my students. Get the horse trailer from Fargo, unpack, clean, repack and head the trailer back to Fargo since the trainers are taking our truck and trailer to Nebraska on sunday with their huge truck and trailer. I believe there are 20 horses going to this show!! Crazy!

On the baby front (for 1 more week), Makenna is walking like mad. She tries to go as fast as she can which results in a hopping, skipping shuffle thing. It's adorable! I can't believe how she just stands up and walks off. It's such a foreign concept to see her do that! Such a big girl:)

Summer is here!

Lance, Miss Thang and I spent the day outside playing in her pool and with the water table. Lance broke out his new pressure washer from Black Friday and cleaned up the front of the house. I graded papers, planted a few flowers and weeded. Lance and I got some sun. Miss Thang did not. She is looking a little tanner though. She definitely has my skin! She was up at the butt crack (Mom- 1 word or 2??) of dawn this morning (5:45) :/ Took a hour nap at 9am then we played like crazy until around 3pm. She was starting to get kind of quiet so I took her in and changed her out of her swimsuit. She was fussy so I figured she was hungry again even though she just ate a couple of hours earlier. So I put her in the high chair...she munched down some puffs and 1/2 a container of food. She was looking around, leaned the side of her head on the high chair and fell asleep! Poor thing!! She would have stayed asleep too but I was laughing so hard I couldn't keep quiet. So I accidently woke her up, then she looked at me and her eyes slowly drifted down. She started head bobbing. Again, I woke her up giggling. Oops!! I NEVER would have thought Miss "I don't need a nap EVER" would fall asleep in the high chair!! It was so cute. But dang my giggling and inability to keep quiet so I could have gotten pics. I picked M up, put her head on my shoulder and she was out. She slept for 1.5 hrs in her crib! YAY!!!! Poor worn out baby!

I put sunscreen on her, including her face, but she kind of reacted to it on her cheeks. She has very sensitive skin. I can't use Dreft on her clothes....it has to be All Free and Clear. I wash all our clothes in that because when she was little, if she'd rest her cheek on your shoulder and you didn't use All she would have a rash. So any suggestions for sunscreen for sensitive skin babes?

What a great weekend! It all began with 70+ degree weather on Friday, scrapping with great friends that evening/nite. Then onto Ember's baby shower Saturday morning on another beautiful day. It was so beautiful that several of her neighbors decided to have garage sales which made for tricky parking since E lives at the end of a cul-de-sac and even more difficult time keeping some of her relies at the shower and out of the sales!! Although I TOTALLY would have joined them if I could have snuck out;) tee hee Once I was done there, I scurried to Menards for purple-ish spray paint and then home. I played in the flower bed, spray painted 3 flower pot things, Lance and I ate s'mores roasted over our fire pit after M went to bed. It was great! Today I was on the mission of all missions to get our house cleaned up. Luckily Lance was on the same page with me even though our little Drama Queen was not:/ Oh well. I still got all of my party decor organized and cleaned up (not put away...its still in the entryway), 3 hats decorated for the NDQHA youth fundraiser, laundry and ironing done, pom poms made for Drama Queen's bday party, our bedroom rearranged and cleaned, some photos edited, Ipod updated, power walk after some awesome supper from Renee's Drive-In.

Awwww.... what an awesome, lots accomplished day! I needed that. Now after Miss Drama Queen heads to bed, I'm going to do the same thing. I'm tired!

Quick update on Miss Drama Queen.... we have 5-6 walking steps. She's doing so well. She gets frustrated then crawls which is so much faster for her right now. She still eats like a cow & is back up to 3 fat rolls on her thighs. So cute!!!

We've got multiple steps now! Miss Thang is going to be on the run before we know it. She is starting to look so much older. Where the heck is my little bitty baby? So it must be around this point where parents start missing the baby stage and start thinking another sounds like a fabulous idea. I'm just saying.... but NOT at that stage yet!!

Way to go Miss Thang! On Friday evening, after I got home from the horse show, Makenna took her 1st step from Lance to me!! We both looked at each other in shock. It's so cool that we both got to see it:) Miss M also turned 11 months last week. We're going to have a toddler on our hands before we know it. I can't imagine her not being a baby.

Lee came to the horse show on Sat and surprised Mom. Lance and I knew he was coming but Mom didn't. It was nice to see him. He just bought his 1st house...he closes the end of May. I can't wait to go see the new place:) It's north of the cities on a couple of acres with a 6 stall garage/shop thing. He probably never even looked at the house! Just the garage!

The horse show went well! I'm exhausted so I'm going to finish grading papers for tomorrow then I'm going to bed. We have a busy week.

Lance is gone all week.
I have my bf's baby shower on Sat morning (brunch) and I still need to get things done/purchased/made for that.
I'm scrapping with a new friend on Friday evening.

plus the normal laundry, cleaning, ect that I haven't done in weeks since I've been showing so much lately.

I'm addicted to "The Real Housewives of New Jersey"!!! There was nothing on a couple of nights ago as I was making supper and feeding M so I flipped it to Bravo (I think). I almost instantly got sucked into the show. EEK!! So much so that after I'm done typing, I have to go set my TiVo for tomorrow's season premiere! ~blush~

So tell me...what is your guilty pleasure?

On a side note, M is 11 months old on Thursday. Seriously. Seriously? Seriously! Where did the time go and why is my belly still flabby? At what point is it not "baby weight" anymore??
