Ear infections mean SICK baby at least in my house. Lethargic, pink eyes, fever are all signs for Noah as well as tugging, digging, crying for no reason. Did I ever recommend Hylands teething gel/tablets to you before for Miss M? I thought they were the bomb!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5176029350833815775.post-74135795519810645512010-01-27T09:13:02.567-06:002010-01-27T09:13:02.567-06:00Amazingly enough I'm quite inexperienced at di...Amazingly enough I'm quite inexperienced at diagnosing ear infections too. At 15 months, Jillian has never even had one (knock on wood!). The sleeping thing is probably just a phase that may be connected to teething and hopefully will pass. We just went through a 3 week period where our LO would CIO to go to sleep every night. It was awful, but I don't want to let her back slide and develop poor sleeping habits either.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00985331491572039777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5176029350833815775.post-92072688432502300532010-01-27T08:29:19.593-06:002010-01-27T08:29:19.593-06:00My older daughter had a lot of ear infections as a...My older daughter had a lot of ear infections as a baby. For her, I could always tell because she was cranky. She was normally a happy baby, but if she was cranky for more than half a day I knew it was probably an ear infection. Most babies run fevers with them--she typically did not though. Has she had a cold recently? Ear infections are most common after a cold, although they can come at any time. If you think something is amiss, there's no harm in bringing her in to the pedi.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5176029350833815775.post-63859530839979893142010-01-26T22:48:11.345-06:002010-01-26T22:48:11.345-06:00Her teeth can cause her ears to ache - so the pull...Her teeth can cause her ears to ache - so the pulling and tugging could be a combination of her discovering her ears and them being a little bit bothersome from her teeth. Hayden was horrible about playing with his ears - I always thought it was an ear infection, but out of the numerous times I brought him in only a few times he actually had an ear infection. If her temp jumps above 100 or so, you'll probably want to bring her in. I've noticed that teeth temps usually don't go much above 100 degrees or slightly above, but if there's an infection they usually climb higher. Hope she get's back to her spunky self fast!Mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15585094451818676763noreply@blogger.com
